"Runaway" Scheduled Refresh of OneDrive for Business Document

I have setup a scheduled refresh (once every 3 hours) for a Excel document stored on my OneDrive for Business.  Each time a scheduled time is reached a number of additional On Demand refreshes occur.  How to I prevent or stop this from happening.  It's a waste of computing resources!

How many histories can you see in “Refresh history” for a refresh moment? I also have setup a scheduled refresh for a Excel document stored on my OneDrive for Business, and I can only see one refresh history when hitting the schedule time. I cannot see any additional on demand refresh.

To be perfectly clear I DID NOT manually refresh the 'On Demand' refreshes shown above.
