"Make default view" on the app not working

We are sharing the reports via Apps, a user has choosen few filters and a different tab and saved that as a bookmark and choose "Make default view". when the user comes back to the app, app is going NOT going to the default view user has set, rather it is going to the default view we have published as.

It‘s by design.

The workspace is your staging area, so your changes aren't live in the app until you publish again. This lets you make changes without affecting the published apps.
