App subscriptions are not listed in Notifications > Power BI subscriptions list

We distribute reports to our users via Apps, and do not allow direct access to the app's workspace. Since none of our users have workspace permissions, they are unable to see their app subscriptions in the Notifications\Power BI Subscriptions list. To view their subscriptions, they must open the subscribed report in the app, and access the Subscription pane to see if they are subscribed.

Please provide users with the ability to see their app subscriptions in the Notification > Power BI subscriptions list.

Hi  @smithjoe ,

If you would like to suggest  feature improvements, you may  vote the idea and comment here  to improve this feature. It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

@v-xiaoyan-msft , thank you for the feedback. This was originally presented as an idea in order to help generate an idea to resolve the issue; I have now reworded the post to more accurately describe the issue.

The easiest fix would be to update the Preferences -> "Power BI subscriptions" list view to display all subscriptions created by the user, regardless of their access rights. If not this, then the list view could also be updated to display subscriptions created in an app by users who do not have access permissions to the workspace.
Another option would be to add an
"App Viewer" permission to workspace users.  Adding this role would grant users permission to access the workspace's app; it could additionally deny direct access to workspace content (outside of the app, of course). By adding this new role, users would have a workspace permission associated with their account, which would allow them to view their app-created subscriptions in the Notifications -> Power BI subscriptions list view.
