Hello, We have an issue on the bar chart refresh in the Power BI Service. We have the following setting: We have a line chart (left side) and a bar chart (right) as shown in the picture below. Both visualizations get their data pushed from the same Stream Analytics job, so actually both visualizations should show the same result. The line chart refreshes correctly. But the bar chart shows data only sporadically so that not all data points are displayed (as you can see, the line chart displays a lot of peaks more compared to the bar chart) The bar chart did work correctly about a month ago! Maybe this is a bug in the bar chart visualization introduced in the last (or previous) Power BI service update? Can you help us on this issue?

I posted about this yesterday. But my post was deleted I guess. So I will just try again. In short, no matter how you categorize data (city or place or text) with middle east cities, they do not map. Dubai.... no map Abu Dhabi no map.... the list goes on. The map I show here has city names categorized as place. It does most of the world. Oddly, it can do Dubbo, Australia - some wee outback town (with respect to Dubbo residents). But it cannot map Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This data set mapped below has 92 locations around the world. A number in middle east. No mapping of those. I dont know what to do. Is the only solution that I create and use a latitude and longitude table for the 50,000 aiports/hotel cities around the world. I can do that. Do I need to? If I need I can be more precise in place names. But I dont know what precisenss to use for Dubai? It seems all just hit and miss. When I go to Bing generic on the web and type in 'Dubai', it sure knows where to go - OK. Why does the Power BI service (using Bing) not work? So, I am befuddled what to do. Is the mapping going to be hit and miss forerver. Should I really load the 50,000 lat and lon for the travel cities of the world?

Power Bi slicers in which scrolling is required do not allow users to scroll if the user is using Mozilla Firefox on a Mac. Hovering the user's pointer over the slicer and scrolling will simply move the user down the page, rather than scrolling through all of the slicer options. This issue is specific to Firefox on Mac. I was unable to replicate this issue on any other browsers either on PC or Mac. Any help is appreciated!

Counties work slightly differently in Peurto Rico, with 78 Municipalities covering all areas of the island. However, when using these municipalities Power BI maps do not code anything under the 'County' level. Anything the Power BI team can do about this?

From Wikipedia: When the borough incorporated in 2013, it took area from the Hoonah–Angoon Census Area and the former Petersburg Census Area. Power BI recognizes "Petersburg Census Area, AK" as a 'county' but does not recognize "Petersburg Burrough, AK". Can you adjust the shapefile data to recognize the more modern version of this 'county'?

I've noticed that if I change the credentials to a database connection, either in the desktop or service, that all pbix files I save or workspace datasets suddenly start using those credentials. This doesn't seem like intended behavior, and it should be possible to ensure that different datasets in different workspaces are using different credential connections. Am I merely doing something wrong by changing database connections in either of the following ways, and intending for it to only change the credentials with respect to the single dataset/file?: Editing Credentials to an Azure DB in the Service Editing Credentials to an Azure DB in Desktop

I'm having an issue with this map where I have thousands of data points all throughout the US, but for some reason only certain data points are showing up. My peers and I started having this issue a week ago and none of us did anything to change the graph. We just came in the next day and it looked like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It is currently not possible to "Hide this item" for a Power BI report on the Power BI Report Server. If you try to hide the report the server responds "Something went wrong. Please try again later".

When I upload a pbix that replaces an existing dashboard, I have to change the dashboard first before it allows me to update the content pack. It does not see any changes to report unless there is a change to the dashboard.

When i click the arrow on the row headers to reorder them in the new visual it does not work, I have to revert back to the old style to acheive this. Thanks C

Hi, I have moved all my reports to run of one data model from the PowerBI service in the hope that if I change it in one place it changes it in them all. Unfortunatly I have found out that you cannot edit the shared query in the report. This makes it very annoying as I then have to open up the report with the shared data model before I can make any changes tpo the query. I would be more useful if it is possible to amend the query in all reports using the shared datset. Thanks

Hi All, I have several problems with map visuals in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service: After several months of working with Power BI Desktop (I guess it's a matter of caching or/and upgrades) Filled Map displays only some part of voivodeships in Poland properly. Re-installation of Power BI Desktop and deleting cache folder help here, but it's annoying one (business user getting into %appdata% and deleting cache - can you imagine this scenario in production?). ESRI ArcGIS Map displays two voivodeships (pomorskie and kujawsko-pomorskie) in the same boundaries. Both in Power BI Desktop and the service. Using a full notation (e.g. "province, country") makes things worse - none of voivodeships is displayed on Filled Map and Map visuals. I don't get it - if Filled Map and Map are based on Bing Maps, then I would expect the interpreation of location data in those visuals will be the same as I get in maps.bing.com portal. But it's not somehow... Not to mention that for states/provinces/voivodeships it's more natural to use boundary map than bubbles to visualize data. Hi, We are trying to concatenate a number and character string in power BI desktop DQ. The functions CONCATENATE, FORMAT does not work in DQ mode, nor does the merging of column in edit query mode. Please let us know if anyone has a resolution.

Hi, We have a column with the format as decimal. When we add this to table and set properties as sum, the decimal part is removed from the values. (not round off, direct whole number) PFA a screenshot where the column has been added twice. When it is not summarised, we can see the decimal part, when summarised, we see zeroes Please let us know if someone has a resolution, how to keep the actual decimal part.

Refresh crashes because of a duplicate in a 1:1 relationship, even though this doesn't cause an error in the data model. The user CAN delete the conection, refresh, and then re-add the connection with no probelm. The reason that this connection is ok is because one table contains unique values, even thought filtering is allowed in both directions. However because the filter direction is set to "both" the system thinks that both tables much have unique values, which is unnecessary. This means that automatic refresh is not possible and the the user must delete the connection in the data model, refresh, and then re-add the connection each time that the dashboard is refresh. This is a bug.
