Hi @JonatanSR

If you refresh manually will you have this problem? At what point does this problem occur? What version of gateway do you have?

Hi @ashleyfiore ,

If you would like to suggest  feature improvements, you may  vote the idea and comment here  to improve this feature. It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Hi @sebadb9 ,

We've seen that you've submitted support tickets, and ticket engineers have more authority to handle these issues than we do. Sorry for the bad experience, but the best way to address this issue at this stage is delete your dataset/report in the service and publish a new one. It’s by design.we see that you are not very satisfied with this solution and the product will continue to be optimized.

It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution from ticket engineer.

Hi @VAMI

Usually, after a user's role is changed from member to viewer, they are not able to enjoy the same privileges as before. After you make sure your role change is successful, you can have the corresponding user clear their browser cache and log back in to test.

Hi @SBenbow ,

I wasn't able to reproduce your problem, you can check out this article Resolve startup issues with Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

If your issue isn't related to an on-premises data gateway, or if the resolutions in this article don't work, you can submit a support incident to Power BI support.

It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.

For how to create a support ticket, please refer to How to create a support ticket in Power BI - Microsoft Power BI Community

Hi @pshelar

I don't quite understand your question, you are making an error when you publish report to Service, right ? Does this error occur on a specific report or on all reports ?

Hi @Aquarelleindia

ou may consider this limitations:

  1. Too large data model may be a reason for your scenario, maybe you can try to cut down you data size and try again.
  2. It could be the power bi server problem that you failed published.
  3. You can update the Power BI desktop to the latest version then publish again.
  4. You can Go to Power BI service, Get Data-> Files to get pbix files, this has the same effect as publish from desktop.
  5. If above methods are not working, please run Fiddler with Decrypt Https traffic enabled and repeat publish steps to reproduce the issue and post the related message for fur discussion.

In addition, you can also take a look at following link who faced similar issue:

Hi @huzefa_53

According to the documentation:

This visual has exceeded the available resources.

This visual has exceeded the available resources. Try filtering to decrease the amount of data displayed.

Your visual has attempted to query too much data for us to complete the result with the available resources. Try filtering the visual to reduce the amount of data in the result.

And you can follow the tips to optimize your report:

1.Do not expose in a view a column that is not necessary in the Power BI data model.

2.Optimize the DAX calculation used in this visual to use less memory and return faster or change what the visual displays.

3.Remove unnecessary precision or split granularity values to reduce cardinality(Significantly reduce highly unique datetime values by splitting the date and time into separate columns. )

4. It may also be that your local computer has insufficient content space. You can turn off the memory that is not needed in the local computer when you turn on the power bi desktop.

Hi  @NeilHenderson ,

Are you having a problem with reports in import mode not refreshing properly and getting stuck on the refresh page?
Based on the information available we are having a hard time determining where the problem lies and need to investigate further.
As for interrupting the refresh in progress, you can try restarting your On-Premise Gateway.

Best regards.
