We have a problem where the USERNAME() is being cached when two users are using power bi embedded at the same time. This has only started happening recently. Its is causing the RLS to break and each user will see the other users data. Please can it be looked at, it is breaking RLS

Since yesterday we started to get a message in our embedded report of Power Bi the message says This is a free trial version. To remove this tag, a capacity must be purchased. But we have always used it that way, we have a PRO account and with that emebebemos the reports, these only started to come out yesterday.

After creating a dataflow in the Power BI service and attempting to rename it I am prompted with a message stating: Refresh page after saving to see the updated name. Even after I select Save and try different browsers or have other admins check the dataflow it doesn't appear to have the name change. When I check it using the REST API it still has the old name as well. Does this happen to anyone else?

Hi, We are experiencing issues with app.powerbi.com. It fails to load sometimes (and all other times, it tries to load just partially but never been able to gain access to full service/report) and denying our users from using them. The support page doesn't indicate any outages here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/ Can someone please take a look into this? Thanks, Saketh

Hello! I have a big problem with data sources connection in PBI Desktop, especially WEB page from Google Spreadsheets. Today I come across with this problem with my existing data, I have been working for a year with these sheets and everything was OK: “The URL may be wrong or you might not have provided the right credentials to the server.” As usual I Publish to the web my online Google sheet) and then I get new Web data to PBI Desktop and nothing =(..I have an empty window. PBI displays: "We didn’t find any tables on this web page. No items selected for preview." http://prntscr.com/vlgucs http://prntscr.com/vlguos Please let me know how to overcome this issue.

We've tried to select specific table to refresh, but nothing happens today after get forced update version June 2024 yesterday. For the refresh button, sometimes, we could click it and work normally, but sometimes nothing happens and couldn't click anything at all so that we have to force power bi desktop to close.

Hi, I noted a potential bug with API rest call Datasets - Execute Queries In Group - REST API (Power BI Power BI REST APIs) | Microsoft Learn When using service principal (authorised to use Rest API by tenant admin) to execute query against dataset with RLS by impersonating user beeing added to one of the RLS roles (that do not have access to Rest API) I get 401 - unathorised request. Same service principal in the same workspace can query successfully any other dataset withouth RLS. thx,

We run a self-hosted web app that calls Power BI Embedded reports at multiple clients. All are receving the error: "Uncaught ReferenceError: ClipboardItem is not defined". Be advised that HTTPS: is not an option for our internal, self-hosted application. This has been running fine in production for 6+ months before now.

Starting about 3 days ago, all our customers using our app reported an issue where Power BI Embedded reports were no longer loading. They would see the Power BI logo and nothing else. Our app is hosted on-prem and we found that if one connects to it using localhost, the reports work, but not if one uses a non-localhost URL; e.g, http://mydomain.com. We reported this to the Power BI team and they indicated it is a wide-spread issue. We hope this can be escalated and resolved quickly because none of our customers can run Power BI reports at this time and they are dead in the water. Thank you.

There seems to be a performance issue with Power BI Embedded reports. I have two reports that are taking too long to load, but there are no performance issues when accessed via Power BI Service. The reports have been embedded for a while, and the issue only started today.

The 'Embed to Customer' level of our application has a Power BI report embedded in it. Since there isn't a direct export option, we have made a different button using Export to file option to export the report. The report is currently exporting, but it is exporting with the default slicer selection. To fix this, we created a second filter selection box in the application, sent the report's parameters, applied the filter, and were able to export with the selected filter. Nevertheless, we are unable to apply some of the distinct slicers that we have. These embedding scenarios are very cost-effective for embedding the report, but they are also very confusing and complex. and there are no suitable guidelines available to make this task simple to accomplish. Is there any way to simplify these things by capturing the slicer selection automatically to get the Token export the report easily..? currently we have P1 Sku capacity. embedded for Customer scenario through Service Pricncipal. Thanks.

We're using the Get Refreshables API to track refreshes in our tenant. We want to start tracking PBI's automated retries, but they aren't showing up in the API response: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/admin/get-refreshables#refreshattempt The RefreshAttempts section is always empty, as shown here: In the refresh history UI in the service we verified that this refresh had 4 attempts. Is the RefreshAttempt section of the response expected to be empty, or is it broken?

I've recently been experiencing an issue with connecting PowerShell to Power BI. I've tried using the following commands, but all of them are suddenly (worked prior to today) giving me the same error message about the "Germany Cloud". Login-PowerBI Login-PowerBIServiceAccount Connect-PowerBIServiceAccount I've run this on three separate computers, on two different networks. Each time with the same result. Does anyone have any insight as to why this might be happening?
