Keep getting this error when I try to open my power bi desktop files. "When interactive authentication is not supported, an external access-token is required; either provide it in the connection-string or by setting the AccessToken property."

I am also having this issue and the above solution is not helpful. How do you "acquire AAD Token And Resolve HTTP Connection Properties For PaaS Infrastructure.?"

Similar issue over here. I'm trying to connect PBI to Tabular Editor from a company owned device. I'm receiving the following message. Any suggestions for a solution?

tabular editor when interactive authentication is not supported, an external access-token is required; either provide it in the connection-string or by setting the AccesToken property

I disovered that you can get access if rebooting or keep trying open the file  - 3rd or 4th time it will open and microsoft account popup appears.

Thanks for the laugh. How helpful. NOT. Hilarious. Oh, that clears it right up. I keep looking for the cameras, this must be a joke. So just get the AAD and resolve the HTTP for the PaaS, right, of course, silly me.
