Windows Security reporting a virus in my Power BI Desktop cache

(Originally posted to the Get Help topic, it was suggested that I also post here)

I'm running Windows 10 version 1909 and Power BI Desktop. Yesterday, Windows Security reported that it discovered the virus BAT/Ballicus.A in a file on my computer. The file is located in:

C:\Users\my_user_name\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop Store App\Cache\Index\DF7D34CB6A6617EF.idx

I can see that the file is 98 bytes, but the Windows anti virus is preventing me from copying or opening it. However, it is similar to the other 30,000 files in the same directory. I'm assuming this is a false positive. Has anyone else seen similar behaviour?

@ivan_wilson ,

Are you using the june version from app store? If so, I could not reproduce this issue on my side. Windows security will not report the files you mentioned as virus on my side.

In addtion, if this issue still happens, I would suggest you create a support ticket here for further analysis.
