Visuals all shifted up about 10 px with latest Desktop update

All visuals have shifted up about 10 px with the latest PBI Desktop release. It appears as though a margin has been removed from the canvas. This is the second time a canvas shift has occurred and caused rework of ALL report pages since the canvas margins cannot be set by the user.

Changes in the canvas have a huge impact on users, so please provide a mechanism to quickly adjust reports when such changes are necessary to the product. Also, please add a check for changes in canvas / visual alignment to the test script prior to release.

Hello @v-qiuyu-msft,

I have attached a before and after screen shot from Power BI Desktop to show how the report pages shifted after the May update.  My report pages are laid out with data islands consisting of several rectangle shapes with rounded edges. The very top shape is in position 0, 0. After some additional testing, it appears the shift occurs because of the recent change to the visual headers. Specifically, the objects shift when I enable the following option: Report settings => Visual Options => Use the modern visual header with updated styling options.

The improved visual headers are great. I just did not anticipate that it would create a shift in objects on the page.

Hi @JeremyBlack

As you found, this is related to the modern visual header settings. What you got is expected. If you don't want the shift, you can turn off modern visual header to keep using old visual header. For more information, see: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-july-2018-feature-summary/#visualHeader
