Values dissappear in Drop Down slicers

Once published in the online service, we had an issue where the slicer values (in a dropdown list) would dissappear if you clicked directly on the down arrow (or list). Users had to click somehere else on the slicer in order to make list of values available to actually select

We found this post from 2019 suggesting it was a bug with the font size of the header, which was the case for our issue.

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Slicer-dropdown-disappears-when-moving-mouse-to-pick-value/...

Upon changin the font size to default size 12 (rather than the size 10 we had made it), the problem was resolved.

The issue does not present in the Desktop version, but only upon publishing to the online service. Seems this bug has been around for some time now!

Hi @MLang ,

Sorry, but I couldn’t repro this issue. May I know the version of your Power BI service?

You could check the version of your Power BI service by these steps:

Help&Support>About Power BI>Service Version

Could you please provide a link of a sample pbix file containing your issue so I can download it and then do investigation on it? If it does a bug, I will report it internally. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your understanding!

Thanks Caiyun.

I’ve managed to reproduce the issue with the pbix file attached (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/86qwp644loqtz26/AADY88bz6Mn_Q_UgSa3lSAHEa?dl=0) published to a workspace (using a simple xlsx file, also attached in case). I’ve also attached a video of the issue. We’ve found the issue occurs irrespective of the data source or storage mode (i.e. sql server connection, published datasets, csv/xlsx via import etc). Note that the error does NOT present in the pbix file – only when accessing the workspace report.

I have a pro licence and the workspaces we publish to are in a Premium capacity – not sure if that will make a difference. We are on the February version of Power BI Desktop.

Power BI Online service version details are below. I can’t find any documentation regarding the Service version numbers so can’t tell if we have the latest version or not.
