Users with "view only" permissions can't see data

Hi everyone!

I hope somebody can help me with this.

Since yesterday, all the pbix that I publish can't be seen by user that have "view only" permissions. All the objects that have data are shown with an X.

Please see next pic:
error.png

That's how the user with those permissions see the report. If I hive them "editing" permissions, they can see it with no problem.

If a colleague publish the same pbix in the same workspace that has same configuration and permissions, the users are able to see the data.

So I assume it's problem in my computer. I tried upgrading Power BI Desktop, downgrading, reinstalling, but nothing has solved this issue.

What could be happening?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Anonymous,

Can you translate the error message display in the image to English? Which kind of data source did you connect to in this report?

Power BI service is independent on Power BI desktop, so it has nothing to do with the desktop in this scenario.

Hi @v-qiuyu-msft.

I found out where the problem whas. It is related to last version of Power BI Desktop, july's release.

When having selected the new preview features, happens what I explained in original post. If I unselect this preview features, everything works just fine.

Thanks for your concern.

Have a great day.
