I might've found a work around. I couldn't add additional people to my current audience list so i had to create a new list and was able to add people. I will post another update once i find out if it works.

I'm also having issues updating Apps.  I can add a new report (content), but if I try unhide the report and then update the App, I get an error.  Hiding the new report allows me to update just fine.

Status changed to: Investigating

Seems like could not reproduce it in my side as far as my test, when I updated a published app with additional users, it can be published successfully in Power BI Service.

You can try to create a new list as you mentioned and look forward your updates that whether it sill has the same issue.

Also experiencing issues updating apps that have been upgraded. Issues include removing content from app, hiding content in app, modifying the audience list to add new users (without them requesting for access), and modifying access from one audience to a different one. Is it possible to revert back to how apps worked before the upgrade, until this can be fixed?

Hello, my workaround worked. I have to add a new audience list to be able to add additional users. I cannot add to my existing list that i had prior to the new update.

@mrossi I just found out how to hide and unhide the content. I'm not sure if this is the same issue that you're having but you have to click on update the app and then click the content then add new content to hide and unhiude reports.

In the content tab I'm able to add and delete, and in the Audience tab I'm able to hide and unhide, but if this impacts the existing / original audience in any way, then I get the failure message:

hello,

since Aug 25 I am also experiencing rather strange behaviour when publishing an App... It basically creates a second copy of my report and it publishes it in ALL my other workspaces (big NO NO)

ancacocosco_0-1661530536645.png

then when I delete this "additional copy" I am warned that I am deleting a report that is part of a content pack (which is disabled for my org PBI tenant)

Additionally when I try to see the published App, I get redirected to a Report view, not App view... Anyone else experiencing these type of issues?

Many thanks

Anca

Post Aug 2022 Power BI update. Audience seems to have a limit of 100 specific users. I even try to separate out into two audience groups. However, after clicking update (post adding users)... the second audience tab specific users that I added disappears when returning to update again.

Also, new reports created after the Aug 2022 Power BI update... the existing audience tab won't allow new reports to be unhide.
