Unable to move NEW tables in model view

I have a PBIX file with ~30 tables and with multiple data tables and support tables. I've recently run into an issue when I add a NEW table to the report, it puts it in the top left corner and I'm unable to move it.

This causes an issue as I have multiple new tables to add and they keep stacking on top of each other and I'm unable to move any of them.

Does anyone know if it does the same thing if you edit the model on the service and add a new table? Thanks

I'm experiencing the same issue. Not a composite model, the data relies on the Sharepoint connector. New tables cannot be moved from the top left corner and relationships to these new tables are invisible in the data model, basically making working with the new tables impossible.

@KaSe It would have to be tried prior to May 2023 when the new pbib file type was added. 

@Anonymous & @KaSe I have a case open with MS and they are current working the issue with the development team. I would open a ticket with them as well. The more they can focus on it the faster they may resolve the issue or have guidance on what to do as a workaround. 

@Anonymous we do not have this turned on in our prod environment yet so unable to test.

Hi All,

I had the same issue, I remedied it by creating a couple new layouts and selecting 'Auto Layout'

This also fixed the issue in the "All Tables" layout.

I then deleted the layouts that were created temporarily since i don't need them.

I just tried it on the new(ish) online model editor and it does the same thing, no layout reset button on there either so basically you can no longer use the online model editor to add new tables.. I hope the tickets that are open for this are set to URGENT.

@AdamWhittaker I received an email from MS just a bit ago stating that they have found the cause of the issue and expect to release a solution soon. (But that is a generic statement)

Update：

The PG team is still working on testing the fix and deploying.

We have seen on the internal platform that other engineers have reported this issue and submitted it.
The engineers on the product team are now aware and will do their best to resolve the issue. I will update here if there is any progress, so please be patient.

What I also noticed is that when I create a new layout tab, the old one becomes inaccessible. It also becomes impossible to delete the new layout tab.
