Turn off slider in date slicer

Is it just me, or are we not able to turn of the slider in a date slicer anymore? I can 'hide' it by just adjusting the height of the slicer, but then that only works when you use 'Title' instead of 'Slicer header' to name the slicer. When using a slicer header, that header disappears first when adjusting height, and the slider keeps staying visible for way to long. 

So there is some sort of work around, but it is not the most consumer friendly way to go about it.

You actually can turn off the slider now, there is an option to do so in the Format - Visual Menu
