Tooltip on Slicer visual not working in Power BI Service for past week

A tooltip is not displaying in the Power BI Service, behavior occurring only in the past week.  The tooltip that I expect to see is when you hover over an entry in a slicer visual and when the name gets truncated with a "..." suffix due to visual size being shoter than the actual text value.  The tooltip is displaying in Power BI Desktop.  Tooltips are displaying in other visuals.

 

Same issue when using Firefox or Edge browser.

According to my research, a similar issue has been reported internally, so stay tuned. ICM: 275406960

 

In the latest update, it seems that they have added it as a change to the December version of the Power BI desktop.

 

I will update here once I get any information.
