Standard Gateway ODBC Error Connection & SQL Serv

IN NEED OF HELP!!

Recently, I've had an issue when I trying to refresh data from ODBC connection and an ON-Premise SQL Server Database. I can get both to refresh through the Gateway Cluster that I've established for each datasource, but when I try to use a dataset that contains both sources I get an error...Does anyone have any idea why this might be? I've crossed my T's and dotted by i's on the privacy settings that match the file and datasource credentials but still have trouble..

I'm able to connect to the HIVE Datasource Gateway Cluster via CData Power BI ApacheHive I also established the refresh will perform if it is connected to the source.
I also am able to connect to the App04; Methasoft data source which, comes from SQL Server Ialso established that the refresh will perform if its connected to the source.

The problem that I am now facing is that when I try to combine data from the two sources I receive a MashUpError, which I believe may be related to the data encryption error that the Power BI Online Service is having with of one datasource from another

Hi @Kgarrett

You mentioned "use a dataset that contains both sources I get an error", are you merging 2 data sources on Desktop and publishing to Service ? If yes , can you refresh the report successfully in Desktop ? If your dataset combines data from two data sources, you need to configure gateways for each of these data sources .

Hi Ailsa,

Correct we have "successfully"  configured gateways between both data sources by the standards of Power BI Online documentation. We also have been able to verify that both gateways work when refreshing independtly of each other meaning. We've went the troubleshooting process of creating two test datasets; which each contain only one datasource of the two that we are actually trying to use in a PBI report created by our developers. Those will refresh successfully...., but fail when they are combined in the actual report.

Addittionally, we've set the "Privacy" settings to Ignore when combining datasources at the PBI desktop file options level, and are still encountering failures for refresh.
