Slicer filters stop working when changing the type of slicer

I have two slicers that filter multiple pages but not all pages. It works at the moment but when I tried to change the type of slicer, it stopped working and changing the client no longer filters the pages. Nothing has changed, other than the type of slicer I am trying to use. I need to change the slicer type because I want to use a dropdown list, that will better accommodate the list of clients that will become very long and a tile slicer won't be the best option - the Tile Slicer can't do dropdowns.

The relationships have not changed, nor has the slicer sync - example:

Currently, I am using the 'Tile Slicer'

Users select a client and a period to apply to all the pages in the report. It works as per below

Changing to client 2 works fine

But when I change the type to either ListSlicer_Tooltip or Slicer, it stops working as per below - when selecting client two, this is not the client data being shown on the report pages, it is still showing client 1 event though the sync is still the same

I am basically going to need to recreate the report without any slicers or filters and then add the dropdown slicers I want now, I guess, unless there is another solution. My Desktop version is:
