Slicer Clearing linking issue

I created a Power BI report and synced the month and week slicers with other pages. However, I'm encountering an issue where clearing the slicer on the Home page doesn't clear the slicers on other pages; instead, they remain on the last selected item. When I select the next month, the slicers sync properly. The problem occurs only when I untick all selections. I used the filter (Tile) method, and even when I clear with the eraser, it doesn't link to other pages, but selecting a new button works across all pages. Why isn't it syncing properly?

If anyone else reads this and has the same problem, the workaround for this bug is as follows:

 

  1. select the buggy slicer in question
  2. drag a new column (any will do) to the slicer
  3. remove the old column
  4. now drag the old column back
  5. remove the new column
  6. if you have any bookmarks that affect the slicer, you may have to Update them again.

Nothing now should have changed to how it looks but the problem should have resolved itself. 

 

I have a large model (40 pages) that has been developed over the last six years. Some synched slicers are fine others not. My best guess is that older slicers that haven't been altered were the ones affected. Therefore there is probably some old code that should have been updated in the latest Desktop update that wasn't. Of course, it's just a guess as there's no word from Microsoft. Good luck!

 

Anyone at Microsoft out there? Or have you decided to abandon legacy dashboards?

I created the slicer using the May version and set up the synchronization and everything works fine, the data on the other page is synchronized whether it is selected or not. I then opened this pbix file using the June Desktop from another computer and used the slicer and when I selected an item and then deselected it, the other page synced as well.
According to your descriptions, this should be a problem with the June version, but I created the file using the May version and opened it in June and everything was fine. Perhaps you guys can provide more information for testing? For example, where did the file come from, downloaded from Service or saved directly by Desktop?
