Single table refresh not working in June 2024 version of Power BI desktop

Refresh of individual tables does not seem to work in the latest June 2024 version of Power BI desktop. It was fine with the May 2024 version. I even tried re-installing Power BI. However, nothing seems to work.

I'm also seeing this same behavior. Refresh appears to happen in the background, but dialog box never appears.

What I observe is that my files have no issue using the normal report refresh button.

However, once I attmpt to use the single table refresh feature (as accessed from the Model View tab), then something get's broken ("corrupted?") in the Power BI file and diolog boxes no longer show for either refresh type anymore.
 

If I redownload the same report, the report refresh works again as expected. But once single table refresh has been attempted it again breaks. Tested this on a couple different reports and seeing consistent behavior.

Using June 2024 version of Power BI.

Hi,

Refreshing of a single table is not giving the dialog box and that's a difficulty as it's harder to follow the state of the refresh activity.
Hoover over the table name give a refresh date and brings clarity if the table is refreshed or not ... but not very handy.
Especially when refreshing about 20 tables (as the 'refresh' button gives an error).

It would be good to get back the dialog box to have better overview on what's happening.

Is there any idea when the dialog box will be back available?

Yes, I'm having the same issue. Tables won't refresh and I'm even having an issue refreshing on the ribbon once I try to refresh the individual tables. Also, I noticed the entire workbook gets buggy after I try to refresh and won't let me add fields to the view and do other things. Really bad bug and I hope Microsoft fixes this soon!

I had the same issue, I thought it was the Efficiency Mode of my computer, but had the same problem, when going to the Query Editor and tried to update the table, PBI broke, I couldn´t go back to the report or do anything, but I was able to navigate in the menu, but not allowed to click on anything. I installed an older version and I was able to update the table. Also, I could refresh all the tables at the same time but it takes a while. Please fix the issue.

How can such a huge problem enter production and be shoved down our throats in an update, then take so incredibly long to get fixed? Refreshing data is one of the most basic functions for Power BI. I cannot install the May version because I do not have Administrator rights to my laptop.

Power BI is basically useless to me now without a proper fix and I'm powerless to do anything about it, there are no consequences to the irresponsible and unaccountable developers who made this happen, and a multi billion software company gets away scot free for this nonsense.

Looks like the solution has been implemented in the latest version below. i downloaded and installed. refresh pop up appears now!

Desktop has been updated to 2.130.930.0, please uninstall the original version and install the latest version to see if the problem exists.

I am unable to download as I do not have admin privileges on my laptop. My Power BI is installed from Microsoft Store. What is the fix for this? This is completely irresponsible, to force an update that has such a major bug but not provide a proper fix, making us manually download a new version when it should be automatically patched.
