Sharing URLs for external users can't be bookmarked

When I receive a shared dashboard invitation from an external user, the link in the email notification works.  However, if I bookmark that URL, I get the following message.

After refreshing the browser, or clicking the saved bookmark.

If I click the email link again, I can get to the dashboard without issue.  The only workaround that has worked is to modify the URL...

Delete "/invite" from the URL

Before exectuting that new URL, copy the new URL and set that as the bookmarked URL.  When I click on this new custom URL, I can tell it goes through the step of telling me I don't have access, however it moves along to show me the intended dashboard.

This hasn't always been the behavior.  Back in the middle of June, it workd fine where I could bookmark shared links as expected.

I need help figuring out why I'm experiencing this behavior, or maybe this is a known issue.

Please bookmark the URL in received email instead of the generated dashboard URL after clicking the URL in email.

Regarding the issue dashboard can't display after refresh, I have reported it internally: CRI 45889146. Will update here once get any information.

We have a bug tracking this issue and are actively working on it. Commit date 10/31, but the fix could come earlier.

When I right click on an email invitation link, I don't get the your option to "Bookmark this link".  I have to copy the hyperlink and change an existing bookmark's properties to the copied hyperlink.  I'm on Office 365 ProPlus.

Hi @jolbright,

Based on my test, the "Bookmark this link" is available when I open email in Chrome browser. You can try the same thing as ours.

Hi Quiyun Yu,

I don't use Chrome.  What are the proper steps for someone getting the sharing email in Outlook (Office 365)?  This seems like a more common user scenario.

Regarding this issue, it's related to the Outlook rather than Power BI. You can post a thread in Outlook forum.

The fix would be release this Thursday. Please try to reshare the dashboard on Friday and see if the issue still persists.
