SVG Image URL in Card (New) Visual is not working - March 2025 update

The new card visual seems to have a bug when using a measure containing svg-code. By selecting Image type = Image URL and adding a measure with svg-code to create a custom graphic, nothing happens. 

It looks like the issue is specific to the Card (new) visual after the update, since previously created ones are still working and the PNG images are working in other visuals so the problem is likely with the Card (new) visual itself, possibly due to a breaking change in the latest update.

Note: when reverting back to feb version, its working fine.

Has this been fixed? I am on Version: 2.142.928.0 64-bit (April 2025) and it is still not working for me.

Yes, fixes were completed for March and April Desktop, as well as the web, a couple weeks ago. There were two fixes - one for newly created conditional formatting rules (but existing rules would apply correctly). The second fix was for an issue with the Callout Value "show" not working as intended. Some folks had the Callout Value hidden, and only an image, within Button Slicers or Cards (without small multiples/categories). The Value would show up again, and push the image content to a smaller area. 
Can you tell me more about your specific issue? Please include which field well roles are used, which visual (New Slicer or New Card?), and how you are using the image (an image content field, SVG Measure, Web URL link, etc)

I believe I have the latest Desktop update and image is not showing when used in an SVG. It does not work in the new card and neither in the table visual. Current version: 2.142.1277.0 64-bit (April 2025)

@larso98 same issue and version here, however visuals created previously still work to display my SVG image URLs.

Hi, I found that svg element must contain width and height attributes. Otherwise image is not visible in New Card Visual even if responsive images work in Table/Matrix Visual.

Hi, It seems like the issue is back with the latest release on the service, when looking at formatted background color settings of my (New) Card visuals. Both when I'm on the Power Bi Service as well as when downloading the latest version of the file from Service to Desktop, the formatted background and accent colors are gone. @mattlee
