Right-click context menu not available on published dashboards

The right-click context menu no longer appears to be working (noticed it last week) in published documents (dashboard). By that I mean that when I right-click on a line on a graph I used to get a context menu that allowed me to view the data and that's no longer possible. I can't imagine that this is by design, so I'd like to know if there is a glitch in the system that's causing this and if anything can be done about it.

Thank you

I'm experiencing the same issue. This is an important feature that helped me sell my company on PowerBI. It worked fined a week ago.

@iGi

Do you mean the “See Data” option which can be seen in the right-click menu of published report? You need to go to report but and dashboard to get this option.

I mean the entire right-click context menu, which includes the option to see data, yes. It's available in the PowerBI desktop app, it's available once I publish it to my PowerBI account online (as a dataset or dashboard), though that appears to be down right this moment. However, once I publish the report to the web (as a link), the entire right-click context menu disappears. Prior to about two weeks ago, any user with access to the link could open the dashboard, rightclick on any portion of the graph and view the corresponding data. This is very important, because it gives the dashboards depth and allows them to delve into the data immediately from a single source.

The right-click context menu I'm referring to. This is no longer available when right-clicking on a report that's published to the web.The right-click context menu I'm referring to. This is no longer available when right-clicking on a report that's published to the web.

I am also experiencing the same issue - nothing happens (no menu appears etc) when right clicking on the published chart, when it did a couple of weeks ago.

Is there any proposed solution or system fix for this? Presumably it is a bug and not intentional?!

Thanks
Paul

Hi All,

I can repro the same issue. I’ve repro it internally to Power BI Team: CRI 30105692

The fix is expected to be implemented in mid-February.

Thank you, Herbert.

While we're at it, I noticed one more, albeit less impactful, thing going on for a couple of weeks:

What seems to be happening is that the Value field on the chart is defaulting to "Sum" rather than "Count," which I believe is what it used to do.

It ends up looking like this:

PowerBI Sum vs Count.png

When it should look like this (by default):

PowerBI Sum vs Count 2.png

I can change this manually, but it's one extra step I have to take on each visualization that I didn't have to do before.

Any ideas why this might be?

I'm experiencing the same issue.  Its driving me nuts.  Right click work in the desktop and signed in web version, but not in the published report.

sold our stakeholders with this feature.

Any update on fixing this?  It seems to have started around the first of the year.
