I am getting error "Realm is a required parameter" when using Azure HDInsight Spark Connector.
I have tried both import and direct query but issue is same.

I'm not able to reproduce the issue after following these articles to create HDInsight Spark cluster and visualize data in Power BI desktop:

For your issue, please double check all settings are fine based on above articles. Please ensure your cluster URL used to retrieve data is right and resource group is available and working fine.
I would suggest you update the Power BI desktop version to 2.61.5192.601 64-bit (August 2018) as ours.
