Hello everyone,
I have a reports that I'm always improving/updating. I have noticed recently that when I publish from PowerBI desktop, everything appears to go as it should: I get a popup asking if I want to replace the existing report, I click yes, I get the succes popup, however when I go to check the report online in the PowerBI service, I see that report that I uploaded has not changed but instead an other report has been overwriten.
During my testing I came to the conclusion that it has something to do with the names of the report due to one being the English version of the same report. But the names are different: insert Reportname(ENG) is the one I wanna upload but it overwrites insert Reportname so I don't understand is causing it. This used to be an very isolated case, but it seems to be happening more and more.
The only workaround I have found is to delete the old report and upload, which does fix the issue and displays the new report. Sadly this is sub-optimal because I have to reshare the report with the customers.
Does anyone know the cause of this issue and if anyone else have this problem?
Thanks
Jeroen

Hi @dashboard_1 ,
It does exist some issues caused by report name during republish or replace a dataset. For more details, you may refer to Publish from Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Docs. But it should be a transient problem and can be resolved by renaming the report. If you keep getting this kind of problem, I do suggest you creating a support ticket in Power BI Support. Then, there will be a technical engineer help you troubleshoot on it and help you find the cause.
It couldn’t be better if you post here to help others who may encounters similar issue once you get the root cause from the engineer. Thanks in advance!
