Power Bi Refresh now fails for SAP BW database

Hi We have successfully configured SAP BW database with Power bi and have published the report using Single sign on option.

On publishing when i am clicking on refresh now . I get the below error. I know that gateway is not setup but as i believe I dont need a Gateway for Refresh now option?? Am i right?? What could be the reason for not working?

Does Microsoft have any personnel who understands the SAPlandscape and Power bi both and can work on this. Reason I am asking this is that each time i have raised some issue with SAP part with Power Bi, I have not got a proper answer. If there is how can I get the help after raising a support ticket

As the SAP BW is a on-premise data source, it requires gateway on Power BI service. For more information about configuring SAP BW use SSO, you can go through this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-gateway-sso-kerberos#configuring-sap-bw-for-sso

Thanks for your comment and link . I will go through it once.

Problem is I have raised few support ticket in the past regarding gateways issue and it has not been good experience till now. Engineers who work on our support ticket are from vendors like Mindtree etc and they are with very basic knowledge on Power Bi stuff.

It is very much time consuming as well as the tickets pass to different teams within them. and this being SAP and power bi issue, I can only imagin if I will get right kind of support.

How can i get support from Microsoft team like I get for other application like SharePoint.

The way I shared in my previous post is to contact Power BI support team. You can contact the ticket owner to require solution, they should follow up with you until the ticket is closed.
