Power BI on premise gateway connection error

Hi team,

We have configured a Power BI on premise gateway on one server in our infrastructure. When configuring various data sources under the gateway, most of the sources are working except any SharePoint related data source (Sharepoint list or Sharepoint saved Excel file). 

The error we are getting is: 

Unable to connect: We encountered an error while trying to connect to . Details: "We could not register this data source for any gateway instances within this cluster. Please find more details below about specific errors for each gateway instance."Hide details

Timeout occurred when sending or receiving a request.

We have extended the Gateway timeout from 50 seconds to 2 minutes, but the error still occurs. 

This error has occured for the first time over the last weekend, when on the SharePoint server were installed the following updates: KB4462926, KB4462949, KB4462941. 

Can you please help me with some clues on why this is happening?

What is the version of Power BI Gateway do you use? Could you please export gateway log following the guide in this article and then share the gateway log here?

I found the following error message in your log:

"ErrorCode: authentication_canceled
EnterpriseGatewayConfigurator.exe Error: 0 : Exception: Microsoft.PowerBI.DataMovement.GatewayCommon.ADAuthenticationException: Failed to sign in. Please verify your credentials and try again. ---> Microsoft.IdentityModel.Clients.ActiveDirectory.AdalException: authentication_canceled: User canceled authentication"

Are you able to sign in Power BI gateway configurator? And what authentication type do you use to connect to SharePoint data source? Please verify if the credentials for Power  BI gateway and sharepoint data source are correct.

i am having an issue that whenever i publish my report to the premised sql server using gateway using credentials  it provides me an errror and when i reagain check my password and renter to it it again shows the same error. is there any solution to this problem.
