Power BI Desktop freezes when saving

Hello,

Starting today, Power BI Desktop freezes every time I try to save. 

This happend to me and at least one other colleague.

The freezing does not prevent the saving itself so far, but I need to restart Power BI Desktop after each time I save my Report.

 

Has anyone had a similar issue so far or any suggestion to resolve it?

Same issues here with previous and latest (.1476.0) versions. Seems if Power Query is open, making changes in Desktop causes it to freeze. Don't seem to have so much of a problem if Power Query is closed.

Rolled back to January version 2.139.2054.0 and no longer freezing up.

Great tip @at_r1sk about closing the Power Query Editor which seems to be preventing freezing and hanging, which is an immediate help. Will roll version back to January 2025 - thanks for further tip!

Same issue here for both me and a colleague with version [2.140.1577.0] (februari) since last friday. Saving and applying changes in Power Query seem to trigger it mostly. Doesn't matter if it's a blank file or a file with large datasets. We'll try the work-arounds for now, but hope it's fixed soon.

Hello everyone, Same issue here, everytime I try to save or refresh the pop-up stays black and the power bi desktop freezes completly - it only started a few days ago. 2.140.1577.0 64-bit (février 2025)

Same issue here: when saving, creating new measures, loading data...basically anything that triggers the 'Working on it screen' Using Version: 2.140.1577.0 64-bit (February 2025)
