Play Axis isn't functioning properly in Power BI Desktop

I am facing an issue with the play axis feature in the scatter chart. The transition between the segments (Years in my case) is not as smooth as usual. It looks like a frame-by-frame movement (each year as a frame). The dots don't flow across the chart smoothly.

Any suggested solutions, please?

You mentioned it's not as smooth as it was before, can you describe it in more detail? Or can you illustrate your problem with a screenshot? Based on your current description, I have no way of determining your problem. If you could provide the pbix file (remove sensitive info), that would be great!

I have the same problem. Instead of the dots moving over time, you just see a screenshot per timeframe. 

However, it seems to work in Power BI Service. So only in Desktop it is a problem.
