Page Background Image Transparency Ignored in "See Data" Mode
One of my reports has a background image with a high transparancy setting. When switching to "See Data" on a given visual, the background image is still shown, however, the image now has no transparancy, making the visual and the data table virtually impossible to read. This happens in both, Power BI Service and Desktop.

Could you please give a screenshot while your issue repro? I tried in Nov 2016 version of Power BI Desktop but cannot repro the same issue as you.
I used a black image to be my page background and set Transparency to 90%. I can see data properly after switching to “See Data” as below.

Hi v-haibl-msft,
I can't screenshot the report where this originally occurred, but was able to easily reproduce this from scratch. Please find the full .pbix demonstrating the issue here:

The point is that there is an actual background image there (on the page, not the visual!), not just a plain fill color.
Thanks,
Mathias

Thanks for sharing you PBIX file. I’ve reported it internally to Power BI Team: CRI 28153525
I’ll post here once I get any update about it.
Best Regards,
Herbert

I can confirm this has been fixed now, both in Power BI Desktop and Service.
