PBI wont start when I enabled preview features in Nov 18 version
Since I updated to PowerBI November 2018 edition, and enabled the two new preview features (modelling view and new filter pane) I cannot launch the program on my computer. Every time I get an error saying "File contains corrupt data" (even when its a new file) and I pressed copy details and got this. I later realised that this issue is with the Microsoft Store edition, not the downloaded version.
Feedback Type:
Frown (Error)
Error Message:
File contains corrupted data.

Hi DavidBenaim,
If you don't enable these two preview features: modelling view and new filter pane, are you able to start Power BI desktop store version?
Does Windows store update your Power BI desktop to the latest version 2.64.5285.701 64-bit (November 2018)?
What about the result after you restarting the machine?

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
Restarting didn't help. I can't now disable the preview features because I cannot open the program, so I cannot test whether it worked without the preview features.
The Windows store version still doesn't work today and that updates automatically so I cannot force it to update to another version I don't think.
As a temporary workaround Im using the powerbi.com version instead of the Windows Store.
Thanks
David

Hi DavidBenaim,
It's hard to provide further support on forum side. Please create a support ticket to let engineer look into your environment.
To workaround the issue temporarily, you can download and install Power BI desktop from this site: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=45331.
