Opening the Filters Pane Resets Bookmark Navigator

When the Filters pane is opened the bookmark navigator's selected button goes back to default.  It does not execute the associated bookmark; it only changes the highlighted button.

 

This happens in Desktop and online.

Hi,

According to my test, it will still remain in the selected bookmark status if you opened the Filter pane. For example, when you added page2 and page3 to set as the bookmarks and when you use the bookmark navigator to navigate to the page2 or 3, then you opened the Filter pane, it will still exist in the page2 or 3.

Would you like to post a download link of the pbix file with this issue without the sensitive data if it’s possible and we can help you to check if it’s an existing issue in the Power BI?

Hi Robert, yes, the bookmark will remain in effect but the button loses its "selected" status in the bookmark navigator.  In the video, when the Filters pane is opened/closed, the button loses its background.  This causes confusion.

I suggest you to open a support ticket to get direct help from the technical support team of Microsoft to have a remote session with you to help them to make sure if this is an issue existing in the Power BI.

Yes, I can get it, but I still don’t think that it can be recognized as an error existing in the Power BI desktop.
