On Premises power bi report server table displays "loading data" even after report is loaded

Hi there,

I saved a simple report connecting to a tabular model to report server. When I open the report in the portal, it displays the report correctly. However, the message "Loading data" doesn't disappear and the loading circle keeps rotating.

Tried with different reports, everything works fine in Desktop optimised for Report Server, but has this "loading data" issue in Report server portal.

Let me know if this is a bug or am i missing something.

Regards

Just checked and found that it happens in IE only. In Chrome, it works fine without the "data loading" message.

Hi @Anonymous,

Does IE in the same machine as Chrome? Please clear the IE browser cache then restart the IE.

Also please go to the Manage-> Data Sources, test the connection, make sure credential is fine. Based on my test in IE version below with Power BI report server version 14.0.600.437, as long as the connection is fine, the report can render fine. Please try the same report server version and IE version then test again.

Hi Qiuyun Yu,

It's on the same machine. I tried the steps and still have the same issue 😞

The report server version and Internet Explorer version is also same.

If you are using Windows 10, try upgrading to the latest Creator's Update which will update your IE 11 to the latest version (11.608.15063.0). This problem does not exist in that version of IE, but I have seen the same thing happen in older versions of IE 11.
