OKViz Bullet Chart 2.2.9.4 new Update Broken - Visuals are BLANK

The new update of the OKViz Bullet Chart (2.2.9.4) released on the 19th of July caused some of the bullet charts to render blank.  This occurs in the PBI desktop and service.  The majority of bullet charts we use started to render blank visuals. This visual is imperative to our business and there is not another visual that adequately replaces the Bullet Chart by OKVIZ. We are very unhappy that the update was not able to happen on the promised date of 7/27/2022.

So it is normally in June version Desktop and the last version of the Service? Can you provide us a normal screenshot ? Or you can provide us a pbix file(remove sensitive info) with normal result , so that we can reduce your issue easier .

I have a similar problem: the visual is empty when you open the report. But if some selections are done in the related table, the appropriate bars are shown:

Afterwards, if nothing selected, it shows the latest selected value.

 

Here https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/OKViz-Bullet-Chart-2-2-9-4-new-Update-Broken-Data-Labels-amp... it was said that the update is coming on 3 Aug 2022. Will the described issue be fixed under this update as well?

Same issue in our existing reports published to the service.

Hope a quick fix is delivered or other alternatives will need to be used.

We had the same issue. It seems that the horizontal bars are part of a new updated version of the app that requires a PAYMENT (if you click on edit on the right corner, you will see that they want to charge a fee moving forward). the vertical bar version is free - we changed the setting, and it worked. Someone else also published the report from their account with the horizontal bars, which worked. So either way, try to let someone else publish the report or change the setting to vertical (free) from horizontal ($$). 

 

It is frustrating to invest so much time just to figure out that the visual won't work after a while, as the company started charging for a fee per use.
