New card visual not showing the same in Power BI service compared to Power BI desktop

Hi,

I created a new card visual in the Power BI desktop report and then published the report to Power BI service. In Power BI service the card is showing differently (reference labels have more spacing in between) compared to in Power BI desktop.

Is this a bug?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I am also experiencing a similar issue with the new KPI card visual:

Embedded PowerBI report (left aligned):

Similarly, I am also experiencing an issue with the new Slicer visual. It is desigined to "pop up" on hover, however when viewing the embedded report, the text is already in the "hover" state position:

Same issue here. The padding seems to be completly off.

vs in Power BI Service:

Hi  @JaneydeJong

What is your Desktop version ? I tested the new card issue on my side, Desktop and Service are the same. Can you provide your sample for testing? Because we have different format settings for the card which may lead to different display results.

Thanks for your response. I'm using version 2.123.742.0 64-bit (November 2023).

I have created a pbix file with sample data and saved it in OneDrive, but it seems I need an email address to share the link to it. Can you provide an email address maybe or let me know how to provide the pbix file otherwise? Thanks!

My desktop version just now actually changed to the 2.124.1052.0 64-bit December 2023 version. Now I have the same spacing issue in the new card visual in the desktop as well.

So it seems it has something to do with the version update. Is this something that can be solved by Microsoft?

I also updated to the December 2023 version this morning, and the bug is now appearing in Desktop as well.

@v-yetao1-msft should I post a separate issue for the bugs I mentioned in my above post?

@v-yetao1-msft I can confirm that I have the same behavior on my end... it all looks very crooked right now. Even after setting the visual back to default it is impossible to control the padding from the left for the callout vaues.

Anyone working on this?

@Data-Crunch I've found a temporary workaround that may help you out in the meantime:

Formatting Pane > Cards > Padding

Set the Size to "Custom" and adjust the left/top sides as needed.

@v-yetao1-msft I can confirm as well that I have the same behavior when Power BI was updated to the December 2023 version this morning. Reference labels Titles have also been affected. Without any changes to text length or font size, it now is truncated with "...".

I also ran into an issue where a measure is added to the Reference labels section and it causes the Visual tab to completely disappear. It was working yesterday as I built out multiple cards and it is only happening on one of my visuals. The measure is similar to the rest but causes it to break and not show any information.

I have exactly the same issue, already posted on 12-14-2023 and provided a PBIX file via direct message to @v-yetao1-msft
