New Card filtering doesn't work when KPI value is blank and Reference Labels are used

Hi, I experience the following issue with Cards (new):
- I have Slicers (new) and Cards (new) visuals with a few cards on the page.
- they work fine and show the KPI values.

The issue appears during slicing when at least one card has a blank KPI value:
- when I add reference labels - the entire visual doesn't react to a slicer selection at all if there is at least one card with blank KPI;
- when I remove the reference labels, the cards get filtered normally.

Does anyone have this issue?

Sure, the Version: 2.124.2028.0 64-bit (December 2023)

I didn't find how to attach a file, but i was able to create a new file from scratch and reproduce the issue.

1. Create a new pbix.
2. Add manual table:

| Group_1 | 10      | 100     | 500     | 1000    |
| Group_2 | 20      | 200     | 600     | 1100    |
| Group_3 | 30      |         |         |         |
| Group_4 |         |         |         |         |

3. Add card (new), select values 1, 2, 3 as KPI - there will be 3 cards in total

4. Add [value 4] as a reference label for [value 1]

5. Add Slicer (new), select [Group] for selection buttons

6. Select [Group_1] or [Group_2], the cards are filtered normally.

7. Select [Group_3] or [Group_4] -> the cards don't react and show the KPI values of the previous selection.

8. Now remove the reference labels and repeat the steps 7 - the cards are filtered showing "--".

Hi I'm having the same issue. 
Default

Filter slicer to value which has no data. 
Card with reference labels remains unfiltered, card without labels filters correctly. 

Filter slicer to value with has some data. Both examples work correctly.

hi all,
I rasied a microsoft support ticket and I have been advised that this bug is confirmed by the product group and the fix is implemented in the Feb 2024 version of the Power BI Desktop. Also, this is already fixed in the service, so we just need to wait for the Feb 2024 update of the PBI Desktop.

We have seen on the internal platform that other engineers have reported this issue and submitted it.
The engineers on the product team are now aware and will do their best to resolve the issue.
