Power BI Desktop Version: 2.117.984.0 64bit(May 2023)

 

When I try using Power BI Desktop Shortcut by Shift+Right click different user, It was previously working for me to login using different account. But recently I have updated the Power BI Desktop software(May 2023), after that I have getting below error, Kindly help on this.

It’s a known issue . The engineers are actively working on this issue and I will come back with an update if there is any progress.

Our entire team is having this exact same issue.

What is really interesting is that if you use cmd and the runas command it will load without the error.

So it has something to do with the way the Windows built in rigth click "run as" functions compared to the default "runas.exe" command in cmd.

A minor release went up last week, so if you download and install it from the usual download page here you'll get the update.

 

Yes you're right, the main July release isn't out yet, here's hoping it's out this week 🙂.
