We are working to implement KPI data at our organization and use the Timeline Slicer on all of our current Power Bi reports. While building a new report featuring KPI data, I noticed that the slicer wouldn't update the KPI visual. However, after using the standard filter using date, the KPI data filtered to the expected date range. Seems there is a bug in the Timeline Slicer where it doesn't recognize KPI data. Anyone else experiencing this? Is this something that can be fixed? Many thanks!

I tried the latest version and it works fine for me. You may check Format > Edit interactions.
I'm having a similar issue.
Timeline works perfectly in the pbix file but after publishing it doesn't work if I use filters from the filter section. This is only affecting a table and a pie chart where I did a measure to calculate TOP N +Other suppliers.
Strangely, if I don't use the filter from the filter section and instead drill down the data using the visualizations I get the correct results.
