Microsoft Fabric | Power BI Semantic Model

Hi Community,

I am developing a semantic model inside Microsoft Fabric but I got stuck in here.
I want to add new column (computed column) since the data is not that big rather than do it in the source which will make some development. But I cannot really add new computed column because it is disabled.

Does anyone encounter this issue before or is there a way that I can add new computed column in my existing model?

Hi  @rgcabusas

Enable a preview feature in the workspace settings, General > Data model settings > Users can edit data models in the Power BI service (preview) . Then you can add measure or calculated columns to the model.

Edit data models in the Power BI service (preview) - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Hi Community Support Team _ Ailsa Tao,

Thank you for the detail guide but still the same. I'm thinking it may be because of my storage mode that is "Direct Lake"
