Manage Aggregations - Count Table Rows is 100% broken

Desktop app.

If you use the Manage Aggregation function and select 'count table rows' you will always get an error when you try to apply.

Hi @fraserward,

May I know what’s the version of your Power BI Desktop? Are you using the latest version of it? If this issue still exits with the latest one, could you please provide a download link of a sample pbix file that contains this issue? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I am using August 2022 version, (newest version)

This is happening on all pbix that are using direct query and Power BI aggregation on three seperate VM's.

I cant upload a sample pbix here as they are all direct query files as this is the only way aggregation working within the desktop app.

OK.  So I have removed August version and installed July version and now 'count table rows' is working.  As you can see here.  Apply is greyed out as I have manage to apply it.

Conclusion: August 2022 version is bugged and 'count table rows' cant be used.

Regards,
