Issue with latest version Power BI Desktop August 2024

Hello,

Seems facing issue with Power BI Desktop latest version Aug 2024, as i am not able to open any report and getting the below error.

encounter the same thing in its entirety. I was unable to locate any information on it (or the August upgrade, for that matter)
Nothing I attempted to change the situation seemed to:
- For the first time, I saw the problem without even opening a report.
Issue when trying multiple reports.
I received the issue when I opened and closed the software, both with and without reports.

Confirmed same exact issue.  Uninstalling fully and reinstalling seems to resolve it.  Thanks Microsoft for 30 minutes wasted in front of a room of trainees.  I wonder how many customers wasted similar amounts of time?  We should all get a check in the mail for being Microsoft's QA testers.

I got the same issue after installing the latest version, but after downgrading, the reports seems to work again. Only issue that i am stuck with currently .. is that the previous version didnt allowed me to change custom labels

I have the same issue with Power BI. The August update won't allow any of my dashboards to connect to the data model. I will uninstall and reinstall. Hoping this will work for me.

Thanks for raising this.  I'm waiting for a re-install right now.

Absolutely appalling build quality from Microsoft - how could something so fundamental be missed in testing?  I've spent most of this morning identifying the cause of this problem.  Not happy.

Same problem here ...
Luckily an uninstall and re-install solves the problem ...
Thx for the advice ...
To Microsoft : testing before delivering a new version 😎
