Hi all,

I encountered this issue today, my report has been working normally for almost one year and suddenly it cannet be refreshed on BI services, but it can be refreshed on BI desktop, I tried all the methods mentioned in other articles but still cannot solve this issue, my data are some excel files stored on sharepoint folder online, the error message as below:

Facing the same since yesterday, tried almost everything available in KB but, nothing works.

Also have the same issue.  At first I thought it was only a new report that I had uploaded and tried to refresh. However this morning we had some scheduled report refreshes that also failed with the same error. Those scheduled reports have not been touched/changed for months so its not something new that we did in the report...its the system.

Looks like we have similar error message as OP:

Data source error: Information is needed in order to combine data;Information about a data source is required.. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: xxxxxxxxxx

Encountered the same issue. Report updates on desktop, but errors on service. Report uses excel files stored on sharepoint folder online,

My data are some excel files stored on sharepoint folder online.

The privacy level of those files is organizational.

I have the same problem since Monday. It appears to me as if it's related to the Azure Information Protection label.
Updating unlabeled files still works properly. When applied any AIP label, refreshing will result in error message.

We have the same Problem. Starting from Tuesday.
Our Data even is directly from Microsoft Graph only and it does not work.
