Indicator for Gateway Data Source connection failing

I recently changed my Microsoft password and have had a heck of a time getting data sources that use my Microsoft credentials updated.  I have been doing this for 2 years using the Manage Gateways page.  With the recent redesign of the Manage Gateways page, I cannot tell which data sources are failing to connect.  In the past I would see an indicator (I believe a red triangle with explanation mark in center).

Am I missing something in the revised Manage Gateways page that shows data sources that have a connection issue?  I feel silly asking this question as I didn't have this issue in the past.  It's been an awful time trying to update the data sources with my Microsoft credentials.  I think I've changed all the right sources but have skipped over a few which I discover when I get the email that the refresh failed.

I can't express how easy this was in the past.  I'd go to Manage Gateways and then see the incidator on the data sources with an issue.  I really miss this indicator.  Hopefully it's still there and I just am not noticing it.

Status: Delivered

Hi @eliz_psu,

According to the reply from the product group, In the new UI, you need to click on the data source to check status. If you want an automated check, you can use the PS scripts. For the previous experience in the old UI was causing lot of performance issues,  the new experience this behavior was changed and it won't be added to the roadmap of the product for now.

I just had the same issue. I uninstalled PowerBI and reinstalled and it fixed it.

@swood12345  What do you mean by uninstalled PowerBI.  Do you mean you uninstalled the on-premise Power BI Gateway and then reinstalled?  Or do you mean Power BI Desktop or something else?

@swood12345 I think we may have different issues.  My issue is not related to Power BI Desktop.  I'm doing the following steps to get to the page where I no longer see an indicator that a data source is failing.  Previously this page did show an indicator, but after the page was redesigned I no longer see an indicator.

1. Go to https://app.powerbi.com/

2. Go to Settings > Manage Gateways

3. The page has 3 different tabs.  I'm on the Data sources tab.  There is a Status column, but this doesn't show an indicator for which data sources have a connection that is failing.  Previously you saw an indicator for a data source that failed to connect when it was used in a refresh of a dataflow or dataset.

I see there is an icon in the Status column to check status.  I suppose next time I change my Microsoft password I will go through and click check status for each data source.  It seems like an extra step to what we had before this page was modified.

I do notice Data (Preview) at the top of the page.  I wonder if there is a way to go back to the old version of this page and not use the preview version of the page.
