How to add members to RLS in Power BI

This morning (6th Oct 2017 at 12:00 noon), I got a message when I clicked on the ellipse beside a dataset in Power BI to set the SECURITY: "RLS has moved to Power BI Desktop", I downloaded the October 2017 version of the desktop, but there is nowhere obvious to add the users to the RLS security groups in Power BI Desktop like there used to be in Power BI.

Help!

Hi @KateGordon,

We must create RLS roles in Power BI desktop rather than in Power BI service. After publish the report to Power BI service, then we can add members under which kind of role. For detail information, see: Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI

I have noticed the issue @KateGordon is describing. What's up?

Thankfully, this issue went away on the following Monday and hitting the SECURITY option on a Power BI Dataset allowed me to allocate the users into each role (as normal).  So, for me, this was a blip - hope it will be the same for you @RonEllisGaut!
