Since updating to the July release of Power BI Desktop, we're unable to load any queries to the data model that include the Hierarchical Navigation parameter (specifically using the ADL Gen2 connector).
"We cannot generate a query for the given data source reference. Failure reason: we don't support the option 'HierarchicalNavigation'"
This appears to be related to the preview feature of 'store datasets using enhanced metadata format'. Can you confirm if these two approaches are incompatable?

I see this same problem with the August release.
I downgraded to the June release and it resolved the problem for me.
