I have a user who is working with a slicer on a date hierarchy to select records based on month and year. She has data that spans 2019 and 2020. When she tries to use the slicer to select one or both full years, it works great. But, when she tries to select a month within that remaining year, the slicer reverts back to displaying all the records from both years. Example:
Full list (2019 & 2020)
01/15/2019 10.00
03/25/2019 20.00
02/14/2020 10.00
06/30/2020 30.00
De-selects 2019 (show only 2020)
02/14/2020 10.00
06/30/2020 30.00
De-selects 2019 and any month in 2020
01/15/2019 10.00
03/25/2019 20.00
02/14/2020 10.00
06/30/2020 30.00
The strange part is, if she starts by de-selecting everything and then adds the months in one by one, it works perfectly. It's only if she starts with "Select All" and de-selects items from the "Select All" list that this occurs.
It's as though the slicer works only in one direction (additive) rather than both directions (additive or subtractive). Has anyone else encountered this, and is anyone at Microsoft looking at it?
