Google Analytics Connectior Beta (2.0) - "description" record not found

Hello,

 

Thank you for providing the GA4 connector for the Power BI Desktop.

 

I encountered an issue when I tried to connect the GA4 account to our dataset, I encountered the error as mentioned above.

Anyone knew what is the issue? I tried to navigate to other GA4 property/GA4 account and it's working fine

It’s a known issue . The engineers are actively working on this issue and I will come back with an update if there is any progress.

Hi @aglpr 

What version of Desktop are you currently using? Desktop has been updated to 2.118.828.0 64-bit (June 2023), maybe you can update Desktop to the latest version and then test the GA4 connector functionality.

I'm experiencing the same issue, i hope there will be a fix soon. I don't intend on using any third part programs.

I'd like to know when a fix is live.

 

Until then i'll just keep tracking the monthly updates.

Goodday,

I have a guess, and can't confirm anything as i can't change the way our property measures our users.
Is it because of google signals being enabled?

By coincidence i noticed that our only property with the error, is also the only property with google signals enabled (out of near 40 properties that are all connected to Power Bi).

Can this error be avoided by simply turning off google signals?
Is anyone willing to test this?

Anecdotally, I have noticed this same issue in and only in our property with Google signals enabled.
