Format Painter Isn't Working As Expected

Situation: One Matrix visual from our standards report and have another Matrix visual from current report.

When using format painter from our standards report and applying that to the current report not all the attributes come over as expected.

- AUTO-SIZE WIDTH doesn't come over properly. It is OFF in the standards, but when applied to the current pbix it is moved to ON.
- ROW SUBTOTALS is ON in the standards pbix and it gets moved to OFF in the current pbix when we apply the format painter.

Have you used this feature before? You mentioned using format painter from our standards report and applying that to the current report, can you explain in detail how you combined these two reports together?

Or can you provide detailed steps or screenshots for reference?

See below gif. I can't recall if this has happened in the past or not. 

As you can see here the version of the matrix visual on the left does NOT have auto-size width turned on and the matrix on the right does have it turned on prior to format painter.  When I use format painter I'm expecting that setting to be applied, but as you can see here it isn't.
