Exporting Matrix Table with Dynamic Formatting Throwing an Error in Excel

Hello,

After the recent Power BI service updates, when we export data from a matrix table in Power BI service, we get an error when loading it in excel if one of the measures has dynamic formatting. We didn't encounter this issue earlier. Can we please resolve the compability issues with the Excel export functionality? I tried exporting in .csv, however, that's not an option when exporting data with current layout.

I can't reproduce your problem, It would be great if you could provide more details!

what is your version of Power BI? What browser and version are you using?

Hi Caitlyn,

I am using Version: 2.138.1452.0 64-bit (November, 2024). 

As an example, I have a file with sales data, by sales person, product ID  and the sales amount, shipping amounts etc. I'm trying to produce the matrix table below.

The matrix table has 12 measures showing metrics broken down by the sales person where the amounts are formatted dynamically in "$k, $M, and $B" in this case. (The data is masked and I've created dummy table to mimic my actual data). 

When I export the matrix table in purple, I get the error saying there's a problem with some content in the file. If I remove the dynamic formatting from the measures (so the amounts are shown without the "k", "M", or "B"), I don't get the error.

I can share the pbix file if needed.

Hi we have issue  exporting in excel : the formule work until last friday. And than all report from excel are not working because of the new version
