Enterprise gateway error with Sharepoint List

We have several reports that have a sharepoint list as their source. We can connect to the list in Power BI Desktop and refresh the data with no issues. 

We can set up the data source in the enterprise gateway and see the message that the connection was successful. 

When trying to refresh the data from Power BI Service we recive the error below. 

Perviously when seeing this error it is because the refresh also doesn't work in desktop. I have also had problems with the 'Parse' function that worked in desktop but not in the gateway. However I can take the raw data with no transforamtions and still get this error when trying to refresh through the gateway.

It only happens for Sharepoint Lists and it does not happen on all lists. 

Has anyone had this problem? I am thinking it has something to do with the setup of the sharepoint list itself but i havent been able to narrow down what column might be cause the problem.

Any help is really appreciated as this is forcing us to refresh and republish to keep our data current.

Hi @jo_mandy,

Does the dataset connect to on-premise SharePoint list or SharePoint online list? Except Sharepoint list, does the dataset get data from any any other data sources?

I am connecting to a Sharepoint List on prem. The one sharepoint list is the only data source. Our version of sharepoint is 2013 in case that is relevant.
