ERROR when refreshing data after some days in Desktop version

Hello!

I have an issue when refreshing data after some days of non use in Desktop version:

Basically, translating: "The Query step XXX makes reference to other queries or steps, so you cant access the data origin".

This problem gets solved easily by entering the Power Query Editor and charging manually every single query, as those queries do not have an error. This frustrates me when its a very big Dashboard with many queries.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Power BI Desktop.

Anyone else with this problem? Thanks in advance

I've also been experiencing this issue,  when I open up a report in the desktop app that has not been refreshed in a while, I have to ensure I go into the the query editor and select every table ensuring if displays data before closing the query editor and refreshing the data in the report.

I have tried to ensure the settings for Background data is set to "Always allow data previewsx to download in the backgroud" but doesn't seem to have improved this issue.

I'd be interested to understand if there are any other settings I should consider

    Hi Anonymous

You can clear the Desktop cache and select "update all" in power query then go back to Desktop view .

Hi Anonymous , thanks for the answer. Yes, I have been doing this. It is true that is the "solution" when the problem arrives.

The thing is that this problem/bug is something new that didn't happen 1 year ago, and doesn't happen to some of my teammates, and it's something that should not happen.
